About Us

Steinbrink Cattle Co.

Tyler Steinbrink grew up with a deep desire for the ranching/western way of life. At the age of 13 years, Tyler started Steinbrink Cattle Co. with a can-do attitude and a heart full of big dreams. With the help from his parents and the rental of their pasture, rather than working a job in town, Tyler would be a steward of the land, raising grass to feed his first 76-head herd of colored, yearling stocker cattle through the summer months, which would then be sold in the fall. Progressively reinvesting his earnings, in time the herd grew larger, as did his scope of knowledge for the cattle industry.

Tyler’s growth in knowledge of industry markets led him to transition from a 100% stocker cattle operation to a cow-calf operation, where he could in turn produce stocker cattle under his own quality control. Tyler started his cow-calf operation with 40 head of good black Angus cows that he shipped in from Nebraska. From that point, Tyler went to work to improve the genetic merit of his herd annually through extensive A.I. breeding protocols.

In 2019, Tyler made the decision to attempt to finish his cattle on his own, rather than sell the yearling stocker cattle in the fall as he had typically done in the past. Then Covid hits… the cattle markets plummet… but Tyler doesn’t take defeat. Giving birth to retail beef sales for Steinbrink Cattle Co. Tyler started booking dates with local butchers and took to social media to market his beef. That first year he was able to successfully market 40 head worth of retail beef directly from farm to consumer.

The rave reviews of approval that Tyler received from his consumers encouraged the continuation into the retail beef market. In 2021 Tyler took a step further and decided to start up a 100% Fullblood Wagyu herd in addition to the Angus. Today, we provide customers with 100% home-raised beef, direct to consumer.

Steinbrink Ranch

Steinbrink Ranch was established in 2022 after we (Tyler and Becca) got married. It was very important to us to have a ranch that would support both cattle and equine operations. We were fortunate to find a place that fit our needs in Tyler’s hometown. We now call the ranch home where, when the work is done, we enjoy spending time with our daughter Lyla.
